With a classic barbed rim and shallow form, the central medallion depicts birds perched among flowering plants in a rocky landscape, enclosed by an eight-pointed border. Radiating panels alternate between chrysanthemum sprays, auspicious objects, and stylized ribbons. The reverse is decorated with panels enclosing stylized petal or fruit motifs, outlined in cobalt blue with freehand brushwork. A textbook piece of early Chinese export porcelain. Displays well with strong color retention. Slightly wobbly due to kiln distortion. Two short tight hairlines and associated faint glaze lines visible to the underside.
