Finely painted in iron red, green, yellow, blue, and black enamels on a soft white glaze, it features a lively central scene of birds among flowering branches and lush peony blooms. The cavetto is scattered with blossoms, while the rim displays alternating cartouches of peonies and green diaper patterns on a foliate ground. The reverse is decorated with floral sprays and a double-ring mark in underglaze blue. A classic example of Kangxi decorative porcelain, its vivid palette and lyrical composition make it ideal for wall display or as a focal point in an Asian art collection. The rim remains remarkably intact aside from a few tiny frits—an impressive state of preservation for a piece of this age and size. Condition notes include two hairlines, a small rim chip to the back, minor glaze flaws on the footring, and typical glaze wear with surface abrasions. Please contact us for more information.
