ANTIQUE CHINESE QING DYANASTY KANGXI PERIOD BLUE AND WHITE SCALLOP RIM PORCELAIN ‘HUNTING SCENE’ PLATE
Featuring a dynamic figural scene in the center depicting mounted hunters chasing hares with bows and arrows, rendered in deep underglaze blue. The cavetto is decorated with lotus blossoms and tendrils arranged in a symmetrical pattern around the rim, while the reverse is similarly adorned with stylized floral sprays. The base bears a six-character Chenghua mark in underglaze blue within a double circle, an established tradition of apocryphal reign marks. Minor rim frittings and chips to the top rim along with two tight hairlines about 3.5 cm. Please contact us for more information.
