Description: Two volumes, thread-bound, under blue paper cover in a polychrome brocade silk case with clasps, each with about 40 sheets of color plates, paintings of flowers, animals, insects and sceneries, each volume with a label bearing a seal and inscription, splashed with gold foil. Inscriptions: To the case and each volume on the cover, "Beijing Rongbaozhai xinjishi jianpu (Beijing Rongbaozhai's New Letter Paper Album) and Jiushiyisui Baishi laoren ti (Title written by Qi Baishi at the age of 91)”. Dated 1955. One seal. Condition: the two volumes in excellent original condition, only the case shows insignificant discoloring consistent with age.

Description: 10 hand written Chinese manuscripts of Zhenjiu Dacheng, "The Great Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion." In ten volumes, with 103 illustrations. Made from the 1680 edition by Wang Gaoru in the town of Fenyi in the Shanxi province, in the seventh year of the Jiaqing period (1802). Originally compiled by Yang Jizhou (1522-1620). Featuring rich descriptions of the origins of acupuncture, detailed human anatomy, and how acupuncture can treat illnesses. In the late Qing dynasty this manuscript was in the collection of a doctor, who filled the first four pages with medical notes and prescriptions.
